It’s 13th time that Financial Times are conducting the US Largest Companies rating. The largest companies rating is quite similar to the previous years, with Wal-Mart stores number two. Oil and gas companies are represented with several companies with Exxon Mobil on the top of the rating. IT and telecommunication companies are as usually one of the most representative groups in the rating. Microsoft, IT&T, 3M, Apple, IBM, Cisco Systems and others are as usually in top 50.
One of the 2009 rating trends is large quantity of biotech/pharmaceutical companies on the top of the rating with Johnso&Johnson number 8 and Pfizer on the 14th position.
Other most represented groups are s usually FMCG – food, beverages, alcohol drinks, transport, banks and retail trading companies.
