The Index displays the amount of attracted investments of various orders. There are direct and portfolio overseas investments. The first ones are capital investments (they grant rights in prior control). In the second case the investors are satisfied with getting profits from their capital (dividends from stocks).
The index displays either positive or negative trend, concerning infusion into country’s economy. From one hand – it is a positive factor for Euro, but from the other hand (in case when the inflow shortens) it may exert a negative influence on European currency.
However, this indicator is not of great importance for euro’s rate.
